Anthrofiction Net's Short Story Contest, Fall 2010

Greetings, my Peeps!

It's a new contest quarter at Anthrofiction Network and the theme is the Gift. This is what I have to say about this quarter's theme:
It’s simple this quarter—build your story around a gift.

"Gee, Scotty," I hear you say, "It's not Christmas. Why a gift?"

Heck, why not? And don't feel you must use a Christmas theme, unless you want to.

There is a sample story

There is a sample story this quarter, for those who'd like to see how another author used the theme (the gift). The sample story will be up to gather comments during the judging phase, but will not be competing with other stories for top score. The sample story for this quarter is Pandora’s Demise and a free account on the site is necessary to view the story.

There are three weeks left before the entry deadline of September 7th. If you'd like to enter a story this quarter, now's a good time to start writing it.
